Transfer Media Files to WisePhone II

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to transfer all media files—music, photos, and videos—to your WisePhone II. Whether you're using a PC, Mac, USB drive, or cloud storage, follow the appropriate method below to ensure a seamless transfer.

 

Transfer from a PC

  1. Power on your WisePhone II and swipe up to unlock the screen.

  2. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable provided with your WisePhone.

  3. Open File Explorer and locate Galaxy A15 5G in the left-hand menu pane. Click on it.

  4. Click on Internal Shared Storage, then select the appropriate folder:

    • For music: Open the Music folder.

    • For photos/videos: Open the DCIM or Pictures folder.

  5. Drag your media files from your computer to the desired folder on your phone.

  6. When finished, safely eject your phone from Windows.

  7. Unplug the USB cable.

  8. Open the relevant app on your WisePhone II:

    • For music: Open the Music Player app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Rescan Media.

    • For photos/videos: Open the Gallery app to view your transferred files.


Transfer from a Mac

  1. On your WisePhone II, open the Tool Drawer, search for the LocalSend app, and install it. Download and install LocalSend on your Mac as well.

  2. Open LocalSend on both devices. On your WisePhone, ensure it’s set to Receive (bottom-left corner).

  3. On your Mac, open LocalSend and select the Send option on the left-hand side.

  4. Open the Finder app and locate your media files (music, photos, or videos).

  5. Drag the files to the LocalSend app on your Mac.

  6. In LocalSend, select your WisePhone II under Nearby Devices and click to send.

  7. Accept the transfer on your WisePhone II to complete the process.

  8. Open the relevant app on your WisePhone II:

    • For music: Open the Music Player app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Rescan Media.

    • For photos/videos: Open the Gallery app to view your transferred files.

 

Alternative Methods

You can also transfer media files to your WisePhone II without a desktop or laptop. Below are two methods for transferring music, photos, or videos:

1. Using a USB Flash Drive or External Hard Disk

  1. Connect a USB flash drive or external hard disk containing your media files to your WisePhone II using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adapter and a USB-C data transfer cable.

  2. From your home screen, scroll down to open the Tool Drawer and launch the My Files app.

  3. Under Storage, tap USB Storage to access your external drive (allow a moment for the drive to load).

  4. Locate the folder containing the media files you want to transfer.

  5. Long-press one file, select all desired files, and tap Copy.

  6. Navigate to the appropriate folder:

    • For music: Choose the Music folder.

    • For photos/videos: Choose the DCIM or Pictures folder.

  7. Tap the + sign in the top-right corner to create a new folder (if needed), name it, and tap Create.

  8. Open the new folder and tap Copy Here.

  9. Return to the home screen and open the relevant app:

    • For music: Open the Music Player app.

    • For photos/videos: Open the Gallery app.


2. Using Cloud Storage

If your media files are stored in a cloud service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud, you can transfer them to your WisePhone II using one of the following methods:

Google Drive or Dropbox

  1. Install the corresponding app (e.g., Google Drive or Dropbox) on your WisePhone II.

  2. Open the app and locate your media files (music, photos, or videos).

  3. Download the files to your phone’s internal storage.

  4. Use the My Files app to move the downloaded files to the appropriate folder:

    • For music: Move to the Music folder.

    • For photos/videos: Move to the DCIM or Pictures folder.

  5. Open the relevant app:

    • For music: Open the Music Player app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Rescan Media.

    • For photos/videos: Open the Gallery app to view your transferred files.

Samsung Smart Switch with iCloud

  1. Ensure your media files are backed up to iCloud from your previous device.

  2. On your WisePhone II, open the Tool Drawer and locate the Smart Switch app.

  3. Open Smart Switch and select Receive Data.

  4. Choose iPhone/iPad (iCloud) as the source and sign in to your iCloud account.

  5. Select the media files you want to transfer (e.g., photos, videos, or music) and tap Transfer.

  6. Wait for the transfer to complete. Files will be saved to your phone’s internal storage.

  7. Use the My Files app to move the downloaded files to the appropriate folder:

    • For music: Move to the Music folder.

    • For photos/videos: Move to the DCIM or Pictures folder.

  8. Open the relevant app:

    • For music: Open the Music Player app, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Rescan Media.

    • For photos/videos: Open the Gallery app to view your transferred files.

Notes

  • Ensure your media files are in compatible formats (e.g., MP3 for music, JPEG/PNG for photos, MP4 for videos) to guarantee playback on the WisePhone II.

  • After transferring files, always use the Rescan Media option in the Music Player app to update your music library.

  • For photos and videos, the Gallery app automatically detects new files in the DCIM or Pictures folders.

  • For Samsung Smart Switch, ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and sufficient storage space on your WisePhone II.
